2023 Adaptation Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley
The 2023 growing season began with a long, wet winter that pushed budbreak well into April. While some say Napa Valley grapes enjoyed longer-than-average hang time, we contend that the growing season started late and finished in kind. Pervasive cool summer temperatures and abundant sunshine allowed our grapes to develop and preserve exceptional depth of color and flavor. The harvest season was characterized by a series of sequential low and high pressure systems that brought brief showers and just enough heat to perfectly ripen every parcel of the Odette Estate.

This new bottling showcases the best of Oso Vineyard's hillside parcels. Steep terraces of volcanic Aiken soil bear gnarly 35-year-old vines, which deliver structure and depth. At 1,200 feet of elevation, the crown of the vineyard is defined by well-drained calcareous Tufa loam, the source of energy and complexity.
